/ Terms of service
Last updated March 7, 2026
By using Fable ("the Service", "we", "us"), you agree to these terms. Please read them. They're written to be clear, not to trap you.
Fable is a client portal tool for freelancers and small studios. It lets you share project files, collect approvals, send invoices, and schedule meetings with clients — all from a single link.
We offer a Free tier and a paid Pro tier. Features available on each tier are described on the pricing page. We reserve the right to adjust what's included in each tier with reasonable notice.
You may use Fable for legitimate professional and commercial purposes. You may not use Fable to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.
You retain ownership of everything you upload to Fable — files, project data, invoice content, and any other content you create. By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to store and serve it as part of providing the service.
You're responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and share content with your clients. We don't review uploaded files and are not responsible for their content.
Pro subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Payments are processed by Polar and Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges to your payment method.
Cancellation: You can cancel at any time from Settings. Your Pro access continues until the end of the billing period. We don't offer partial-month refunds.
Refunds: If you believe you've been charged in error, contact us within 14 days at billing@usefable.com and we'll review it.
Price changes: We'll give you at least 30 days' notice before increasing the price of an active subscription.
Invoice payments: Stripe payment links in invoices are between you and your client. Fable is not a party to those transactions and takes no fee.
We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, fix bugs, or update infrastructure at any time. We're not liable for losses caused by downtime.
You can delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. If we discontinue the service, we'll give at least 30 days' notice and provide a way to export your data.
Fable is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service — including lost revenue, lost data, or client disputes. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
Fable provides tools for you to manage client relationships. We're not responsible for disputes between you and your clients, including payment disputes, scope disagreements, or anything arising from invoices issued through the platform.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If a dispute can't be resolved amicably, it shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.
We may update these terms. If the changes are material, we'll email you at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that date means you accept the updated terms.
